End of Life Blog: I have three areas of concern about Advance Care Planning. First is the continuing lack of Medicare payment for end of life discussions with an individual’s physician. There is some hope that progress will be made by the United States Senate Special Committee on Aging. It’s certainly worth viewing this special Senate Hearing and reading reports from very the engaged Senators, plus representatives from Five Wishes, The Conversation Project, and the POLST Paradigm.
