The Grace Cherian Blog: I was watching the news recently. And was intrigued to hear about the something I’d never heard of before, especially in light of the fact that Mom died just recently. The Conversation Project is an organization dedicated to helping us talk about our wishes for end-of-life care. Far too many people are dying in a way we wouldn’t choose and too many of our relatives are left feeling bereaved, guilty, and uncertain.
It’s time to change our culture and recognize dying is a part of living. We need to talk about it and share how we want to live at the end of our lives. We must communicate the kind of care we want and don’t want for ourselves.
