eFuneral: Most people say it’s extremely important that their families are not burdened by end-of-life decisions. But for many, it’s uncomfortable to begin conversations around end-of-life and it’s confusing to think about all the details that go into a well thought-out plan. That’s where the Conversation Project comes in: they help individuals share their end of life wishes with their family members, loved ones, and medical team in order to ensure their preferences are honored when the time comes.

To start, the Conversation Project has offers a free “conversation starter kit” that helps individuals organize their thoughts and wishes and then provides tips for initiating a family conversation. Next, they provide individuals and families with a free guide on talking with healthcare professionals about end-of-life care. Additionally, the Conversation Project’s website has links to helpful resources, information on critical advanced planning documents, like power of attorney, healthcare proxy, and living will, as well as a section of stories shared by the public.
