It was so him

I had the conversation with my spouse.

He was able to give the gift of life to 3 separate people.
We both worked in healthcare type industry, and I think that is why we shared some of our wishes with one another.  My husband died suddenly at the early age of 50.  Due to the fact that we had some discussion it made things somewhat easier for me.  I knew he didn’t want to be kept alive on any machines.   I knew he wanted to be an organ donor, although had not registered at the new online site.  We were able to achieve that wish and he was able to give the gift of life to 3 separate people.  We had discussed music for him, and that it was to be a celebration of his life and for everyone to raise a glass with his home made wine.  He was famous for that too.

Anyway it was great that we were able to achieve the wishes that he had made.  Everyone’s comment was “It was so him”.  It all made it much easier for me.  I believe it is very important to have this conversation with your loved ones, and am so grateful that we did.
