Having “the conversation” was a very easy thing to do

I had the conversation with my spouse.

It was a natural thing for us to sit down and talk about what we wanted, how we felt, and what we wanted done when we pass on.
For my wife who is 85 and I, having “the conversation” was a very easy thing to do. Our church teaches us very clearly what our alternatives are, and we are encouraged to discuss it freely, which we did. Our feeling is that dying is part of living and that we will be together in the world to come.

So, it was a natural thing for us to sit down and talk about what we wanted, how we felt, and what we wanted done when we pass on. Once we achieved understanding relative to this topic, the conversation was easy and did not pose a problem; in fact we both felt satisfied and fulfilled afterwards.
