October 21st Community Call Preview

Posted on 10/13/2015

It is finally and officially upon us…fall! After a successful summer and lots of planning, we’re now into the home stretch before our Conversation Sabbath in November.

Is anyone in your community hosting a Conversation Sabbath? Would you like to know more about how to introduce this to your faith leader or local interfaith council?

There are many reasons we are invested in sharing The Conversation Project in congregations. We want to help you do the same.

Join us on our free monthly community call, Wednesday, October 21st, to learn from The Conversation Project’s Rev. Rosemary Lloyd about different tools and resources available to support these efforts in your region. Whether you’d like to know more about how to make the recommendation to your faith leader, review sample sermons, find applicable videos, facilitate our Conversation Starter Kit, or even find social media tips for your house of worship, this is the call for you. We’ll be sure to cover all the materials available in our Community Resource Center and answer any questions you may have.

What started as a germ of an idea in Boston, MA, with 30+ congregations signing on to preach or teach about the importance of “the conversation,” has now grown national in scope. Learn how congregations around the country are gearing up to spread the work to their parishioners in a few weeks.

In addition to our regular TCP updates, we hope you’ll walk away from this call with new ideas for how to introduce this in your community or with your own faith leader. Looking forward to connecting!
